Cluster

The nuclear cluster conference was held on the 3-7th of September 2007 in Stratford-upon-Avon, England (birthplace of the playwright William Shakespeare).

The main themes of the programme were:

  • Cluster structure of stable and unstable nuclei,
  • Clustering aspects of the nuclear reactions, including reactions of unstable nuclei and molecular resonance states,
  • Clustering aspects in nuclear matter, including intermediate and high-energy nuclear reactions, liquid-gas phase transition, and neutron stars,
  • Nuclear fission, synthesis of super-heavy nuclei, and cluster decay,
  • Cluster physics and nuclear astrophysics,
  • Strangeness in nuclei and clustering phenomena; hyper- nuclei, mesons and nuclei, quark cluster, etc.,
  • Clustering phenomena in other subjects; hadrons, atomic clusters, quantum dots, etc.,
  • Applications of nuclear physics; medicine, nuclear waste, etc.
