Grades of Membership

Join online for a year or sign up for a 3 month trial

If you join online you will immediately be able to take full advantage of the online benefits and services that we provide.  If you would like to join for a year, your membership will run for a year from your payment date and will cost £86.  If you would like to trial our membership on a 3 month basis for just £25 you will be able to choose this option.

Once you pay online, you will receive an e-mail from us confirming your application has been received and giving you your login information. You will automatically become an affiliate member of the Institute and you will be able to access the online services for members.  If you have a degree in physics, we will contact you very soon as you may be able to change your membership grade.

If you join for 3 months, we will send an electronic version of our welcome pack which will give you all the information you need about your new membership of the IOP.  For those of you who join for a year, we will be sending your welcome pack by post.  We will also call you soon after you join to welcome you to the Institute and to ensure that you are fully aware of what we have to offer you.
