Socio-economic statistics

There is a strong overlap between socio-economics and issues affecting Black, Minority Ethnic (BME) students. Graphs 1 and 2 show the correlation between socio economic status and the ethnicity of applicants applying to study all subjects at university, and the correlation between socio economic status and the ethnicity of students applying to study the physical sciences, respectively. Graph 3 shows the ethnic socio-economic representation of applicants to physical sciences relative to applicants to all subjects.
