Career
From university I was a voluntary youth worker for two years. From there I trained to be a teacher at Bristol University and worked as a science teacher at Gordano School in Portishead for 6 years. For the last two years I have been head of Physics at Clifton College, but just stepped down to be a Physics Teacher, concentrating on sharing Physics with local schools. Recently I have been involved in Science on Stage 2 and the IOP Advancing Physics Revision Day 2007. I have also been involved with programmes for Teacher’s TV, and organised a project to locally produce physics apparatus for schools in Rwanda.
Personal Interests
I enjoy driving my Kit Car and playing the trumpet!
Aim/Mission
Communicating physics in a fun and engaging way is my passion. Seeing people enthused with new ideas and sharing their own good practice summarises for me what the Teacher Network is all about.
