Career Highlights
I went to The National Physics Laboratory as a vacation student while I was at University. After graduating I worked in the Optical Metrology Division for six years. I then had a career break to bring up my children. During this time I took a teaching course and have been teaching (mainly Physics) ever since. I retired from being Head of Science at Watford Girls Grammar School in July 2007.
I was a pilot teacher for the SHAP A level course based at York and am at present part of the team revising the course materials for September 2008.
Personal Interests
I recently retired, so I at last have time to do some of the things I have always wanted to try like potting and I have taken up sailing again. Apart from that there is a much neglected house and garden to fix.
