SciCast Physics

Can you explain how a boomerang flies, why tin cans make great bongos or the best shape for a flying wing? Ever fancied yourself as the next Quentin Tarantino or Sophia Coppola? Then this competition is for you!

SciCast Physics is a mini-science-movie-making competition and the challenge is to produce a film of less than two and a half minutes that explains a principle of physics in an entertaining way to non-scientists.

Full details of the competition, including what judges will be looking for and handy hints on making your film are available from www.planet-scicast.com/physics

SciCast Physics welcomes films from people of all ages in the UK and Ireland. The closing date for entries is 4 January 2008.

SciCast Physics is part of Planet SciCast, a partnership between the Institute of Physics, NESTA and the etb
