Institute of Physics – Public Engagement Grant Scheme
Our public engagement grant scheme provides up to £1000 to individuals and organisations running physics-based events and activities in the UK and Ireland.
The grant scheme has two rounds each year. Round 1 of the 2009 scheme is now open. Full guidelines and a copy of the application form can be found here. Closing date is 7 November 2008.

School Grants Scheme
The Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC) and the Institute of Physics offer a small grants scheme designed specifically for schools and colleges. Up to £400 is available for small-scale projects or events linked to the teaching or promotion of physics.

Science and Technology Facilities Council – Small Awards Scheme 2008
The Small Awards Scheme provides funds for small, local or 'pilot' projects promoting STFC science and technology. Anyone can apply, including the research community, schools, museums, etc. Awards range from £500 to £15,000 and the expenditure can go towards materials, salaries and travel & subsistence.

Science and Technology Facilities Council – Large Awards Scheme 2008
The Large Awards Scheme provides funds for projects which are expected to have a significant regional or national impact. STFC offer awards from £15,000 up to £100,000. Anyone can apply but project teams must have strong links with the Science and Technology Facilities Council's scientific research community. They also encourage partnerships between scientific and other (e.g. educational) organisations.

EPSRC – Partnerships for Public Engagement (PPE) awards scheme
Open to EPSRC grant holders and fellows only, the PPE awards are intended to support high quality public engagement projects.

Royal Society - Partnership Grants
Grants are available for teachers and scientists or engineers to work together on exciting investigations for 5-16 year olds. The maximum amount awarded is £3,000.
